Business Partner - Career Planning and Job Search Advisory Practice
Ref: 38167
Established ten years ago, my city-based client is a small but established Career Planning and Job Search Advisory Practice operating almost exclusively in the retail as opposed to corporate market. The Owner/manager is looking strategically at the future and sees a number of options. In all these, ”scale” is an issue – primarily in balancing “doing” the work with” getting” the work. Other issues include product positioning in a large, oversupplied and highly competitive market dominated by the large outplacement firms but where agility, focus and contacts are selectively working in favour of the small specialists. Virtually all of these lines of thinking lead back to the need for a Business Partner. The intention is that initial discussions world focus on strategy which would identify commonality of personal aspirations, abilities and character which would, in turn, lead to a business partnering arrangement. The ideal candidate would have a strongly people-orientated senior management background with some specific professional skills in some of the technical areas covered by the Practice. Looking to be an owner-manager is important together with an outgoing and externally-alert disposition. Please email comments and a CV to Charles Russam.
