| Our client is a major insurance broker and they need someone to support the operation of the project function. The Ideal candidate will have insurance background from either a broker or the insurer side. Someone who is use to working as a project co-ordinator and is familiar with project management tools and systems such as microsoft office/project managing risk and issue logs and report writing. Daily rate is flexible depending on experience.

| Organisational description Our client is the leading national provider of independent advocacy services. Their mission is to strengthen voice, champion rights and change lives. Last year they worked alongside 17,000 people with learning disabilities, mental health issues, physical and sensory impairments and autism as well as children and young people and older people to make this happen. They enable people who face the greatest disadvantage and discrimination to have a real say in, and genuine control over, their lives. Originating from the merger of two pioneering organisations, the group has a turnover of £7m and employs 270 members of staff. Reporting to the Chief Executive, the post-holder will be the lead finance professional and member of VoiceAbility’s Executive Management Team (EMT). The post-holder’s key responsibilities will be to support the Chief Executive and Board in ensuring the Charity has a clear financial strategy, improve and safeguard its medium and long term financial position and lead the finance and ICT functions in their response to a period of major organisational development and change. Day to day management of Finance and ICT is the responsibility of the respective Heads of Department who report to the Finance Director. In addition to the general responsibilities, during this contract, the interim will be involved in the following projects and must have the relevant skills to support them:- • Completion and audit of financial statements 2011/ 2012 for the group and for the individual companies in it • On-going short and long term financial planning to support strategy with relevant scenario planning • Planning changes to the staffing and delivery of the finance, ICT and facilities functions in order to maximise effectiveness and efficiency and in line with overall organisational plans including for the increased devolution of business leadership to Regional Directors • Training Regional Directors including in relation to financial and contract management to increase their commercial acumen • Integration of new mergers and acquisitions into the group • Review of internal charging and allocations model • Supporting Business Development on new charging models • Development and use of an assessment framework for existing and new financial investments • VFM projects to be agreed but likely to include optimising virtual working (e.g. teleconferencing and web-conferencing) and printing and copying • Ensuring the completion of ICT strategy which has been developed out in headline form and needs further articulation • It is possible that due diligence may be required in relation to acquisitions, joint ventures or major partnerships. To be considered for the role you must have leadership experience of: • Long-term strategic resource planning – working closely with the CEO to develop a robust resource strategy that supports a business in change • Performance management, efficiency improvement and cost control • Team leadership • Managing organisations and departments through major change • You must also be CCAB qualified (or equivalent) with extensive post qualification experience, including at Board level.

An experienced HR Policy Manager is sought to look at 3 key areas of responsibility: RDR, requalifying insurance salesmen to comply with industry standards; contributing to cultural change and harmonisation program through integration with acquisition partner.
